“Come visit this impressive collection of antique breadboards and table accessories in my family home, while enjoying a quintessentially English Cream Tea. It’s the only antique breadboard museum in the world, and the collection is attractively displayed and professionally lit. Breadboards date from the 1830s and come in many shapes and sizes, being exquisitely carved with a wide variety of motifs and mottos. Anything from God’s goodness, coronations, weddings, birthdays, and harvests are commemorated on them. I have spent 40 years surrounded by this collection, created by my mother, and I am happy to answer any questions. Cream Tea consists of melt-in-your-mouth buttermilk scones and a choice of English tea; Darjeeling, Earl Grey or Lapsang. Choose your favorite breadboard to present the sconess on, and drink tea from my grandmother’s best porcelain.”
